THE “HUSH” OF THE UPPER OCTORARO LOOP

“The ‘hush’ on the north loop, with zero traffic noise—just pure natural sound—is something to experience.  A beautiful property, well-maintained trails, and easy to navigate!”

What to Expect on the Upper Octoraro Loop

Our Longest Trail Along the Octoraro Creek

Explore the Upper Octoraro Loop at Glenroy Preserve as you traverse creeks, streams, lush forests, and vibrant meadows to reveal the beauty of Octoraro Creek.

This is our longest trail, starting at the parking lot and looping around to the Tiger Trail, Blackburn Run, and Bamboo Hollow.

It shares the northern stretch of the well-known Octoraro Creek with our Lower Octoraro Loop.

This multi-use trail offers a gentle blend of gravel, dirt, rocky, and grassy paths suitable for hiking, biking*, and reflective strolls. Bird watchers enjoy spotting many species that reside at Glenroy Preserve—including eagles, hawks, herons, and more.

Whether you’re seeking a burst of physical activity or a peaceful day with nature, the Upper Octoraro Loop promises an escape into Chester County’s natural heritage.

*We advise hiking before you bike to determine your level of comfort.
